Having started from being inspired by line patterns created by salt in cornwall 3 months ago, I have become preoccupied with these patterns observing them and drawing them. I have also found these more interesting as I have devloped them through line drawing into images which have connotations of both geological patterns but also digital wave patterns. I am also interested in the changing connotations of these patterns when reproduced and manipulated through human input than the pure natural evaporation and errosion process they began as.

In drawing these I have worked on A2 sized paper using various types of pens and recording the dates and times it has taken to draw each section.

I have then started to experiement with putting these drawings together to cover a whole wall, in the way the origional patterns I saw engulfed the rock faces they were covering in mass line drawings created by ocean movement.

The below videos show the process of drawing these patterns. This is something which is signifcant to these pieces as I must undertake a process and ordered way ordered way of drawing to create these which I feel also creates parrells to the processes I am trying to represent.
